M.C.C. Selected European Rallies Group (Member of F.I.C.M.)

Members 75th.Newsletter Issued 26th. October 2013.

Hello,

Since your last newsletter we have had our AGM. This was a very enjoyable although very wet weekend. The cricket club at Moreton in Marsh suited our purpose, it is within walking distance of the town, has kitchen facilities, we can take in our own drinks and unlike schools and larger venues we can afford to take it for 3 nights. We have therefore booked next year’s AGM from Friday 17th.October to Monday 20th.

I am attaching a list of this year’s committee; please retain these details in case you need to contact one of us in the future. You will notice that two members of the previous committee did not seek re election; Malcolm Low has had to give up motor homing because of serious health problems and Paul Goulding because he plans to spend more of his time in France. Both of these members have served the Club well and we will miss their input. Fortunately Paul is staying in the Club and has promised he will continue to help when he can.

EUROCC PORTUGAL 2014.

Do not forget that if you wish to attend this event your money and booking form need to be sent to Nick, our treasurer by 20th.November 2013.

Next year’s FFACCC Games Rally will be hosted by Club Est. I wrote to them and asked if we can participate and am pleased to say that they have said we will be welcome. This rally will be from 27th.May to 1st.June with a prolongation of about three days. It will be held on a camp site, near the river, at Port-sur-Saône, department de la Haute Saône, 12Km. North West of Vesoul, France. At the moment I have no more details. I know this coincides with the MCC National but I hope that some of you will attend this event, because if no one does, and I need to ask in the future if we can go to either a Club Est or FFACCC rally, they probably wont want to accept us.

For rallies later in 2014 I will have to wait for the French clubs to go on line with their 2014 calendars of events. This will probably not be before end of February, and as I am away from home from March to mid May it is going to be rather difficult. If any of you would like to volunteer to do this it would certainly help the Group. Please let me know if you can.

For those members who have not renewed this will be your final newsletter. I wish you well for the future and hope you enjoy your motor homing for many years to come.

Regards Andrea.
